About Us
Aspire Energy Express (AEX) is an intrastate pipeline company engaged in natural gas transmission. AEX is equipped to provide natural gas transmission solutions to local distribution systems, industrial customers and power generation facilities across Ohio. The pipeline provides 300,000 dekatherms a day of natural gas transportation with the ability to expand.
As a subsidiary of Chesapeake Utilities Corporation (NYSE:CPK), a company with over 165 years in the energy business, customers can count on AEX to provide solutions that are cost-effective and meet or exceed their intrastate natural gas transportation needs.
Currently, AEX operates an interconnect between Rockies Express Gas Pipeline and Guernsey Power Station, an 1,875 MW power plant near Byesville, Ohio. With construction of the gas transmission facilities completed in 2021, AEX provides transportation service to the power generation facility and is their sole natural gas provider.
The pipeline is regulated by the Public Utility Commission of Ohio.
